Bathroom vent fan this is a little known problem that gets a lot of folks in trouble before they know it. The mold and mildew is not always quite as visible as a lot of home damaging problems. It can be quite expensive to fix and if you do not like treating it you may have to paint a room or two to get rid of the problem.
The vent fan does not really have to quit working to be not working enough it could be from plugging up or improper install. It could just be not being set to stay on long enough some people think it is saving money and electricity in setting the product this way
The problems are also very unhealthy for a lot of people with allergies.Most allergy sufferers are also allergic to mold or mildew.This can be one of the allergies that goes not found until they are very sick. The good news is that the bathroom vent fans are not hard to replace and not cost all that much most times. I have changed one out in a few hours myself and also done a new install where their were none installed and it was sorely needed in that room.
Personally having a few allergies but not serious ones I would rather save those people form as much suffering as possible.The bathroom vent fans are mostly reasonably priced when you look at all the problems they can solve in a home and most all home owners would rather pay the lesser of the two costs anyway. I think most plumbers will replace one in an hour easily but it can be more trouble some on some occasions.
