Want to Learn to Speak Japanese?

When I was a bit younger, I used to watch a fair amount of Japanese animation. This is what really made me want to learn to speak japanese. I first tried studying by watching the anime in Japanese with English subtitles, and I think that helped a lot. Other than that, I didn’t really do much to further my Japanese learning progress. Eventually at school I found a teacher that offered to tutor me in Japanese. I learned that it was actually fairly easy to speak the language, and within a few weeks I was actually reading in Japanese! Needless to say, my teacher was quite impressed.
