Phone Book – Hard Copy Versus Electronic

Every year wrapped in plastic, your Phone book was put on your porch by the front door. It was fun to open it up and go to your last name and see your address and phone number. Or if you have a business, to see the full-page ad you took out. But now there is something new. It is an online service that is a directory on the Internet. There is even a media CD-ROM depicting your city and state for your computer. Switzerland, for instance, has electronic directory terminals, instead of paper ones. And for each search, a person is charged a service fee.
