Hopping on the Next Train to Newburyport

Evening Y’all Avery here and this is my experience with home buying. This really got me to start thinking seriously about a move -from the openhouse section in the sunday paper “Beautifully renovated upscale condo in the desirable Gatehouse! Kitchen has tile floors, SS appliances, granite countertop, & cherry cabinets. Massive living room with 12 ceilings & exposed brick has a dining area, fireplace, and windows that allow great afternoon sun. Relaxing view of flower beds and grass! The 2 bedroo” I’d love to find a home similar to the home I grew up in. I had such a lovely childhood that I want my children to have the same experience. I grew up in Newburyport. My interests include train sets. My father had a collection of train sets and he begun passing them down to me when I was a kid. I’ve been collecting them ever since. Going to a new place, which I am hoping I can meet people with the same tasts that I have.My father is a famous ice cream mogul. I can’t say which ice cream brand but I will tell you his first name is Ben. Needless to say I have quite a bit of money. From birthday gifts alone I have saved $118,000. I also make a decent salary of $71000. Together I think it’s possible to get a home in Newburyport.By day I am a professional shopper but by night I’m an Emergency Room Admittance Clerk. My day job usually costs me more then it pays! You really need to look check out the recent housing stats before buying, even if it is just 30 days. With this market, I am just going to sit back, do my math and wait for the perfect opportunity. It took me a while to put this together, the data is courtesy of Newburyport Homes For Sale -this is the average home data for the last 30 days in Newburyport. The original price of the 8 homes sold was $316,177, the Last List Price for those homes averaged $306,190 and they sold on average at $297,102. These homes spent on average 93 days on market and had 1 Baths and 2 Bedrooms and on average were about 1,296 square ft.Just for good measure I checked the last sale in Newburyport which was on 01-04-2011 on Kent St for $299,000.We saw a few that peaked our interest one Condo in paticular was on Sunnyside Dr and another on Warren St but none caught my eye like Carter St Newburyport which is probably the real deal. I hope so, I think a little more homework -who knows, maybe I will just do it. I might move forward with this one and put an offer in. My Newburyport Ma Realtor Sharon Seabury was very patient with me and provided me with all of the data necessary to make a wise choice.Tanks for reading me,Avery
