Labradoodle Training Tips
Although most puppies will usually have their first type of training experience that will include something like potty training to make sure that they don’t piddle on the floor inside when they should always ask to go outside, the next level of training will often be to teach a dog to sit properly when commanded and this is a great training lesson to start with since Australian Labradoodle breeders usually suggest that a new puppy should always receive its first training as soon as possible after it is taken home by its new family. The reason for this is the earlier a dog is taught a lesson, the easier it is for the dog to learn and obey.
For the training that includes teaching a dog to sit properly, it’s a good idea to devote no more than five minutes to the training session, especially if the dog is very young and is still a puppy. There are also no time restrictions as to the part of the day when it’s best to train a dog and doing so whenever it feels right is perfectly acceptable. The lessons should always include very clear instructions as to the proper behavior expected of a dog and it’s important to make sure all of the lessons given to the dog on this particular subject are created in such a way that there is no confusion or changes in the overall lesson because this can make retention difficult if the dog is being asked to do something slightly different each time the lesson begins.
