Healthy but Need Insurance
I’m in great health but I realize that I’m unlikely to die healthy. My health will at some point start to deteriorate.
I’m sixty-six but I run regularly. I run marathons once or twice a year and have done so since I was forty two.
It is hard for me to imagine the day when I can’t take care of myself, but I know that that day may come eventually.
For that reason, I’ve been looking at nursing home insurance for myself and my wife. (She is equally as active.)
We have good health insurance coverage. Our Medicare Advantage policies are excellent but do not cover the nursing home very well.
We’re taking care of the insurance we need now, while we are healthy and can qualify medically. We thing this is the prudent thing to do.
