The well-designed Karastan Rug was introduced to the market after seven years of hard labor of the company of Marshall Field. Despite being manufactured with the help of power loom, it is hard to differentiate it from the hand crafted Oriental rugs. After its first demo at the World Fair, its company was named as the wonder company of America and this shows the effect it created among the people.
