He Sure Is Cute

My girlfriend and I were reading the Sunday paper over breakfast yesterday, when she read out loud to me “puppies for sale, sydney, cheap”. I looked at her, and she said, in her sweetest voice, “Honey, will you buy me a puppy?” I’ve never been able to resist her, so I told her that we could go look right away if she wanted. Well, she wanted, and now here it is, Monday morning. I’m on my way to work with a chewed up pant leg, a list of puppy supplies to pick up on the way home, and bags under my eyes from listening to puppy howls all night. But that little bugger sure is cute!
