Understanding Back acne
Just like face acne, back acne is a skin inflammation caused by over production of oil by sebaceous glands. However, the skin on the body is usually thicker than that on the face and often has larger pores, making for more severe acne lesions at times.
Women are more prone to acne on face, while men are more likely to have it on their back, especially in the form of nodules. Mostly people with facial acne also have some amount of acne on their back. Back acne is aggravated by irritation of the skin and has a fancy name to it called ‘acne mechanica’. Anything that repeatedly rubs against the skin like back packs, tight fitting clothes, and irritates the skin worsens the situation.
Some easy ways to get rid of back acne are regular wash with anti bacterial soaps to avoid constant perspiration.
