Burning the Fat Doesn’t Happen by Starving Yourself

When most people make the decision to lose body fat and get into shape, the first thing they do is drastically reduce their caloric intake. They try to starve themselves. If your goal is to achieve a lean, defined and shapely body, then your focus should be on losing body fat. There is a massive distinction between losing bodyweight and losing body fat.

Here’s the bottom line: your entire focus should be on burning the fat while maintaining muscle mass. A loss of body fat while maintaining (or possibly even gaining) muscle mass is what is going to deliver on that lean, toned body you’re after.
