An Uptick in Sales
As a vendor of used machinery we are definitely seeing an uptick in the sales of used injection molding machines. There are a few reasons that we cite for this increase.
First and foremost the bottom line is that buying used is cheaper. The majority of companies are interested in saving money and just like buying anything used versus new, there is definite savings in buying used machines.
Second of all there can be intricacies to the set up of this complex equipment. Many of the so called “kinks” have already been worked out on used machines. This is a huge time saver for manufacturers.
We have also experienced many customers requesting a specifc machine because they have employees with experience running that machine. That also saves the company time in avoiding training on a new piece of equipment.
